Hi all, and welcome to Don't Sweat the Small Stuff. My name is Amy and I am so excited to have you here! A little bit about me: I'm a native of Northern Michigan, mama to a young daughter, and a writer looking to build a community and help others in any way I can. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Writing (both creative and technical) from Grand Valley State University, and a Master's of Library and Information Sciences (MLIS) from University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee. .
This blog came out of from my experiences. I suffered from postpartum depression after my daughter was born, and later was diagnosed with Major Depressive Disorder and General Anxiety Disorder. Psychology, human nature, mental health, and connection are huge interest of mine. As a Librarian with a capital L, researching and finding accurate and credible information is key to making informed decision about what is best for you. I don't judge people because everyone's situations, life experiences, and opinions are different and we have a right to live the way we want so long as it isn't harmful to other people. I am a digital entrepreneur and my goal and hope is help you rediscover who you are and if you choose, help you be able to take control of your finances by pursuing an online business. I am partnered with several companies who offer services that I strongly believe in and have gone through myself, so you know that my opinion is born from experience. As an affiliate, any links on here I may earn a commission if you choose these programs and services align with who you are and decide to purchase.
As a visitor here, you are part of a fantastic community. Connecting with other, sharing creditble information, and engaging in conversation about human nature is a passion of mine. Your input will help grow this community . My goal is to provide a safe, judgment free space where we can have the tough conversations and share our unique perspectives. It is my belief that regardless of location, social economical status, education, or lifestyle, each person has a story to tell and lessons to share. Together, we can learn from one another. As an information specialist, providing credible and factual information to aid in growth is important to me; if you have questions, I would love to offer advice and provide you love and support.
Thank you so much for being part of this community. There are plenty of ways that you can become more involved. Join my newsletter where we will explore more in depth a topic of interest. Connect with me on my socials - DSTSS has a facebook page, a private Facebook group (invite only!), Tiktok, Instagram, and YouTube. I'm also working on several other projects, so keep an eye on that!
